Blue Moon Shih Tzus is located in Central Oregon on a 40 acrea park like setting. Our dogs and puppies are members of our family. When we place an older dog or puppy in a new home we place them with the expectation that they are to be a new family member.

We are semi-retired and spend a great deal of our time toward the Veterans Of Foreign Wars. Our Shih Tzus are our passion, our entertainment, our spare time, our family, and our friends.

We have been involved in the dog world for over 25 years and can not imagine not being a part of that world. We do not have an actual kennel enviroment...Our dogs live in our home and also spend unattended time in what use to be our guest house. They have a dog door that exits to a 16 x 16 covered-enclosed Pavillion area for their unattended day time and out door activity and two separate large court yard areas.

None of our dogs are crated unless for travel, during a recovery period, or a temporary limited situation such as offering one of their companions the opportunity to finish their own meal without sharing. Our young puppies do have excersice cribs separate from the adults that move freely around.

Please ask as many questions as you wish before purchasing one of our puppies. Each puppy is unique as is each home he or she will be placed in. We have a responsibility to each puppy we bring into this world and have high hopes for a secure and happy future for them.

Our puppies depend on us to make a responsible decision for them and place them where they will thrive and be loved beyond comprehension.

Our goal is to place them in the unique environment they will excel, achieve, and fullfill your every expectation of owning a Shih Tzu.

Puppies are not available often. I breed occasionally for a show prospect and the others are sold as pet companions, to pet companion homes, at pet companion prices with a spay/neuter agreement. I occasionaly will sell a show prospect puppy to a show home with references and a show sales contract.

I raise Shih Tzu and resently added English Toy Spaniels to our family. I do not raise other breeds that you view on my site for sale. Blue Moon Shih Tzus is a very small hobby show kennel. We are not a commercial breeding environment nor do we raise puppies everytime one of our girls are in season.

All other breeds I have sold and will sell from my site are either puppies or dogs needing to be re-placed into another home, puppies from a dog fancy friend who I have either offered to bring home to include with my dogs and puppies for more socialization and activity prior to finding a home of his/her own or from a dog fancy friend that does not have web exposure to present and offer her puppies as available.

It seems our home has always been an open sanctuary door for dogs, cats, birds, horses, cows, donkeys, and chickens needing a place to stay during their search for a permanent home. I enjoy our visitors very much. It fulfils a desire to care for something so very sweet and special. Sometimes a home doesn't come available for all of them and they do remain. They are welcome but we have a limit. It seems when I least expect it a unique special home comes along for one I did not expect to be leaving...and I am always so appreciable to those customers that are willing to give so unconditionaly.
